“If a child hears good music from the day of his birth, and learns to play it himself, he develops sensitivity, discipline, and endurance. He gets a beautiful heart.  -Shinichi Suzuki

“Every night before our daughter goes to bed, I ask her what her favorite thing was that day. On the days that she has violin, she ALWAYS says that violin was her favorite event of the day.” -Anita, Monarch Suzuki Academy Parent

_ACW3304Monarch Suzuki Academy is located in Southwest Austin and offers a variety of Suzuki music classes and experiences, including prenatal music workshops, early childhood music classes, and lessons in violin, viola, cello, guitar, piano, and flute. The director, Shana Guidi, is the founder and past president of the Greater Austin Suzuki Association and a co-director of the Greater Austin Suzuki Institute, a summer Suzuki music camp. At Monarch Suzuki Academy, we are committed to fostering the development of the Austin music community and offer camps, teacher training, workshops with guest artists, and a variety of other opportunities for students.

It is our mission to further the philosophy of Shinichi Suzuki, who believed that the character and ability of all children can be developed through the appreciation and pursuit of musical excellence. Dr. Suzuki’s purpose was to contribute to the betterment of human kind and world peace by helping children become kind and noble citizens through the study of music. In his own words… “I just want to make good citizens. If a child hears good music from the day of his birth, and learns to play it himself, he develops sensitivity, discipline, and endurance. He gets a beautiful heart.”

When your family becomes a part of Monarch Suzuki Academy, you join a rich tradition of child-centered learning and musical excellence. Contact us today to get started!
